Renders of the rumored Motorola Moto One Action have been posted by 91mobiles revealing that the handset will sport a triple camera setup in back and a punch-hole selfie camera in front. The device is expected to feature a 6.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2520; the 21:9 aspect ratio means that the display will be taller and narrower than the screens found on most other phones. It does allow for a more cinematic effect when viewing movies and other streaming video.
The Moto One Action will reportedly be powered by a Samsung Exynos 9609 SoC with different configurations available. There will be models with 3GB and 4GB of memory and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage. Not much is known about the three sensors on the back except for the 48MP primary camera; the Quad Pixel technology combines four pixels into one to improve the quality of a photograph. As a result, these images are actually 12MP. Keeping the lights on will be a 3500mAh battery, and color options are Blue, Gold and White.
As an Android One phone, the Moto One Active will be pre-installed with a near stock version of Android. Google promises three years of security updates and two years of Android updates. The Moto One Active looks similar to the already released Moto One Vision but has less memory and storage. As a result, the One Active will be positioned as a more affordable version of the model that preceded it even though it has one additional camera sensor. There is speculation that Motorola has one more Moto One handset to release this year, the Moto One Pro.
The current rumor calls for a July unveiling of the Moto One Action, so we should hear more about this phone before it officially greets the light of day.
