The New York Yankees have taken the first three games of this four-game set, and seek to bring out the brooms against the Red Sox with another win tonight. J.A. Happ will be on the mound for New York, and David Price for the Red Sox. Coincidentally, both southpaws were recently on paternity leave, but have retuned in time for their starts.

Happ has pitched well against Boston this season. Hes 1-0 with four earned runs in 11.1 innings. New Yorks pitching has looked a lot better over the last three games, it will be up to Happ to keep it going.

The Bombers will sport a bit of a weaker lineup tonight than the previous three, as both Aaron Hicks and Edwin Encarnacion were placed on the injured list over the last 24 hours or so. To fill their spots, Mike Ford will occupy first base, and Brett Gardner will patrol center.

Red-hot Gleyber Torres will be in the leadoff spot for the first time in his major league career. DJ LeMahieu gets the night off, and Didi Gregorius will make his first appearance this series after suffering a strained finger that kept him on the bench for the last three days.

David Price has faced the Yanks only once in 2019. On that day, he threw 6.1 innings with two runs on six hits.

While the Red Sox have struggled over their last seven games, J.D. Martinez has not. The Boston slugger is batting a .304 with two homers a five RBI over that span. He has decent career numbers when facing Happ, so keep an eye out for him today.

The game can be seen on ESPN, streamed on MLB.tv, and heard on WFAN or WADO. First pitch is at 7:05 EST.

With a victory, the Yankees would push the Red Sox as far as 14.5 games behind them, virtually burying their division hopes for good. Lets bring out the brooms!
