Video: Children 'run' airport in UAE for a day
Children running a UAE airport? Sounds odd, but a few children were given the special opportunity to get a hands-on experience of working at an airport - since they planned to work at an airport in the future.
On the occasion of Emirati Children's Day (March 15), Sharjah Airport gave select boys and girls a chance to 'run' the airport. According to a video posted by authorities, Sharjah Airport allowed the children, who want to work in the airport when they grow up, to practically explore the jobs.
In the video, the children can be seen 'working' as co-pilots, flight attendants, air traffic controllers, security personnel and ground staff.
Smartly dressed in their respective uniforms, the children got a unique real-life experience of what it is to be like in a plane's cockpit, in an air traffic control tower, on the tarmac and at various security checkpoints at the airport.
Seniors staffers supervised the children as the explored the various jobs.
The adorable video has garnered hundreds of views and comments, commending the kids.
