The Transmission Corporation of Telangana (TSTransco) and TSGenco Chairman and Managing Director D. Prabhakar Rao hoisted the national flag at Vidyut Soudha said that the Telanganas power sector has become the role model for the entire country under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the entire credit would go to team work. He appealed to all the employees to rededicate themselves for extending value-added services to the consumers
He said that the utilities were fully geared to meet demand of 12,000 MW during this kharif season and TS Power utilities were fully geared up to supply the required Bulk Power for Electric Vehicles.
The Telangana power utilities were also in the forefront in maintaining the grid discipline and recently the Central Electricity Authority, New Delhi had appreciated the Telangana State Load Despatch Centre for excellent balance of supply-demand scenario.
In a major development, TSGenco has put in operation the Reversible Pumping Facility at Nagarjunasagar and Srisailam hydel stations. The flexibility of Reverse Pumping System at these Hydel stations was beneficial for Grid Management and also resulted in substantial savings thereby minimizing the costly purchases during the Peak Hours.
Target for SCCL
Singareni Collieries Chairman and Managing Director N. Sridhar who hoisted the tricolour at the Singareni Bhavan and said that the plans were being implemented to increase companys turnover in the next five years to 50,000 crore and profits to 4,000 crore. The Companys turnover in 2018-19 was 25,828 crore and earned profit of 1,766 crore. The company was trying to acquire new coal blocks in Jharkhand and Chattisgarh and the SCCL was on par with Maha Ratna companies in the country with its progress in the last five years.
Mission Bhagiratha Engineer in Chief Krupakar Reddy hoisted the National Flag at Mission Bhagiratha Head Office at Erram Manzil. Telangana Pollution Control Board also celebrated the Independece Day at its office and Member Secretary V.Anil Kumar hoisted the National Flag.
