President Trump went to bat for Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, who has gotten backlash for her controversial comments about a Muslim House member, by calling on the cable network to return her show to the air after it was replaced Saturday.

“Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro. The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country,” Trump wrote on Twitter Sunday morning in a series of postings about Pirro.

“They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well. Fox must stay strong and fight back with vigor,” he continued. “Stop working soooo hard on being politically correct, which will only bring you down, and continue to fight for our Country. The losers all want what you have, don’t give it to them. Be strong & prosper, be weak & die!”

In a third tweet, Trump urged Fox News not to give in.

“Stay true to the people that got you there. Keep fighting for Tucker, and fight hard for @JudgeJeanine,” he said on Twitter, referring to another Fox News host, Tucker Carlson. “Your competitors are jealous – they all want what you’ve got – NUMBER ONE. Don’t hand it to them on a silver platter. They can’t beat you, you can only beat yourselves!”

Pirro’s show, “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” didn’t air Saturday evening during her usual time slot and was replaced by a rebroadcast of “Scandalous: The Trial of William Kennedy Smith.”

Fox, which rebuked Pirro for the statement last week, wouldn’t comment on why her show didn’t air.

“We are not commenting on internal scheduling matters,” Fox said in a statement on Saturday.

Pirro, on her March 9 show, questioned the loyalty of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Muslim who wears a hajib.

“Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?” Pirro said of Ilhan, who was born in Somalia.

In a statement, Fox News criticized her for the comment.

“We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar,” the network said. “They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”

Pirro dismissed claims that her comments about Omar went meant as painting the congresswoman as being “un-American.”

“My intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution. I invite Rep. Omar to come on my show any time to discuss all of the important issues facing America today,” Pirro said.

Omar, who has faced criticism after making anti-Semitic remarks, thanked Fox News for reprimanding Pirro.

“No one’s commitment to our constitution should be questioned because of their faith or country of birth,” she wrote on Twitter.

Carlson also has been the subject of criticism for misogynistic and racist comments he made on a radio show a decade ago that were recently uncovered by liberal watchdog Media Matters.

In the interviews on the shock jock “Bubba the Love Sponge Show,” Carlson said he has “zero sympathy” for people Iraq because they “don’t use toilet paper or forks.”

Speaking about Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, he said: “I feel sorry for unattractive women.”
