MIAMI Travis Scott isnt clowning around.
The “Sicko Mode rapper, 28, showed massive interest in a giant painting of Simpsons character Krusty the Clown at the Art Basel Miami VIP Preview on Wednesday.
The painting, titled Krsty Brand Seal of Approval (red) 2019, was painted by artist Tom Sachs. It was being sold by the Acquavella gallery for $225,000, an insider told Page Six.
Scott was seen posing for pics with the massive work of art, and two members of his crew were seen exchanging information with the paintings seller.
He was also seen eyeing a 1983 Jean Michel Basquiat piece called “Krong Thip (Torso),” at Helly Nahmad that was going for $8 million before making a stop at the Gagosian booth.
Jean Pigozzi and Karolina Kurkova were also seen taking in the art, as well at Steve Wynn, who was just ordered to pay $20 million toward a shareholder suit claiming Wynn Resorts board had been complicit in his alleged sexual misconduct.
Ricky Martin, dressed casually in sunglasses and a hoodie, stopped to take selfies with several pieces of art while taking in the fair with his husband Jwan Yosef and artist Jeremy Kost.
While the fair boasts artwork from internationally renowned and classic artists, one piece that was raising eyebrows was a banana duct-taped to a wall at the Perrotin Gallery by Maurizio Cattelan titled Comedian that was going for $120,000.
Gallery owner Emmanuel Perrotin told the Miami Herald, Im in serious discussion with a very important collector to buy it. His reaction was very positive.
