Earlier on Sunday, Ras Al Khaimah Police teamed up with Abu Dhabi and Dubai Police to rescue 570 people, including children, who were stranded on Jebel Jais.

The rescue operation saw 170 residents airlifted and the rest transported in special police vehicles. The rescue residents who were stranded for 15 hours, were taken to a hotel in the emirate, while their 300 -odd cars remained on the mountain.

Ras Al Khaimah Police has issued an advisory last night regarding another area, Wadi Bih which is prone to flooding. Residents were alarmed by sirens in the area on Sunday. Debunking evacuation rumors in the area, the police said in an Instagram post that everything is under control.

In case the residents receive any information about flooding or evacuation they should confirm with the authorities before sharing it ahead.
