Yolanda Hadid is thrilled about being a grandmother.

The 56-year-old took to Instagram to post a photo of her granddaughter, who is the first child of her daughter Gigi HadidandZayn Malik.

"My heart is expending with so much love and joy for this little baby girl she is an angel sent to us from above" she captioned the adorablesnapshowing the almost one-month old holding her finger.

"Thank you Mummy and Daddy for making me a Oma, I love every minute of it."

Gigi, 25, and the former One Direction singer, 27,welcomed their daughter into the world on September 23, with Maliksharing the news on Twitter.

"Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful," Malik captioned the photo, which showed him holding his daughter's tiny hand.

"To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together."

Gigi also posted a photo of the newborn, writing "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she's already changed our world. So in love."

Yolanda didn't hold back about how excited she was about becoming a grandparent during her daughter's pregnancy.

Shortly after the parents-to-be announced their happy news, Yolandashared a sweet photo of herselfhugging Gigi's tummy, along with the caption, "waiting patiently for her angel to be born."

The Real House wives of Beverly Hills alum toldRTL Boulevardin April that she feels "very blessed".

"I'm excited to become a Oma in September especially after I lost my mum so recently," she said. "But this is the beauty of life: One soul leaves us and a new one comes in."
