A man has died and a second man has sustained multiple injuries after a car hit a power pole in Sydney's north-west on Sunday night.
Emergency services were called to Carrington Road at Londonderry at about 8.50pm, and found a sedan had left the road and struck the pole, bringing down lines.
A man travelling in the back seat sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
A front-seat passenger sustained multiple injuries and has been taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver has escaped serious injury and has also been taken to Westmead Hospital where he will be checked as a precaution and will undergo mandatory testing.
All three men are believed to be aged in their 20s and from western Sydney.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are now onsite examining the scene.
