Kawhi Leonard will meet with both the Lakers and Clippers

Links to Kawhi Leonard and Los Angeles began as soon as the San Antonio Spurs traded him to Toronto last year. The Clippers have been the popular pick for whichLA team Leonard would join but Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports he will give both organizations a meeting.

Winning a championship has given the Raptors as good of a chance. Leonard will give Toronto the final meeting.

Lakers rework Anthony Davis trade to create a third max slot

As part of the trade for Anthony Davis, Los Angeles is now sending assets to the Washington Wizards to create salary cap space for a third max slot.

Sources: Lakers are sending their 2022 second-round pick to Washington in trade to move Moe Wagner, Jemerrio Jones and Isaac Bonga to the Wizards.

Davis also waived his $4 million trade-kicker giving the Lakers $32 million in cap space heading into free agency. That money could now go to another star free agent as LA has been linked with Kawhi Leonard, Kemba Walker, and D'Angelo Russell.

Boston the favorite to land Kemba Walker?

The long-time Charlotte Hornets point guard has been rumored to be considering a max contract from the Hornets if offered,he is believed to be a priority of the Los Angeles Lakers, but now it appears the Boston Celtics are the favorite to land Walker's services.

Raptors C Marc Gasol picks up$25.6 millionplayer option

As Toronto focuses on retaining their reigning finals MVP in Kawhi Leonard, they will not have to worry about also losing Marc Gasol.

Mavericks will offerKristaps Porzingis a max contract

Recovering from a torn ACL, Kristaps Porzingis is still expected to receive a five-year offer from Dallas.

Restricted free agent Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks will meet when free agency opens on June 30 and the franchise plans to offer Porzingis a full five-year, $158 million maximum contract, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Rockets focused on sign and trade deal for 76ers all-star Jimmy Butler

Despite rumors surfacing that Houston made anyone on their roster available for trade, including Chris Paul, it now appears that the Rockets are ready to run it back in the Western Conference. Only this time with a third star added to the backcourt.

The report also mentions Houston making Clint Capella, Eric Gordon, and P.J. Tucker all available in a potential trade.

Wojnarowski also reports however that Philadelphia is confident they can re-sign both Butler and free agent forward Tobias Harris.

Warriors set to offer Klay Thompson max contract

Despite tearing his ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Shamus Charania of The Athletic reports Klay Thompson is expected to receive a five-yearoffer from the Golden State Warriors worth $190 million.

Golden State is expected to then turn their focus to retaining Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant declines $31.5 million player option with Golden State

While Durant has not officially closed the door on a return to the Golden State Warrios, the two-time finals MVP will decline his player option in search of a max contract in unrestricted free agency.

As rumors swirl that Kyrie Irving will join the Brooklyn Nets after signing with Roc Nation Sports, it is now believed by many that the Nets are the favorite to land Durant. Irving and Durant have been rumored to be interested in teaming up together since the beginning of the season.

As free agency gets closer, the most popular rumor around the league is Kyrie Irving to the Nets could be a done deal. Irving is from West Orange, New Jersey and recently switched agencies signing with Roc Nation Sports. RNS is owned by Jay Z who is a former minority owner of the Nets.

It is believed that Irving is already trying to recruit fellow free agent star Kevin Durant to Brooklyn.
