“The Micromax iOne is an entry-level offering with a notch above the screen”
Home-grown smartphone maker Micromax launched its last smartphones in December last year. At the time, the company released the Micromax Infinity N11 and Infinity N12 as its first smartphones with a notch-toting display. Now, the brand has introduced a new handset called the Micromax iOne, which brings the notch to the entry-level segment. Notably, it is the first smartphone to be powered by a UNISOC SC9863 processor. The budget Micromax iOne has been priced competitively at Rs 4,999 and will be available across channels starting today.
The Micromax iOne features a 5.45-inch HD display with aspect ratio of 19:9. The UNISOC SC9863 processor under the hood has eight processing cores and is backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. For imaging, the handset is fitted with 5-megapixel cameras and LED flash at both the front and the back. In terms of connectivity, the handset sports 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. A 2,200mAh battery completes the list of the specifications.
Sunil Joon, Head – Strategy, Micromax Informatics Ltd. said, “We understand that consumers today demand a complete package – a smartphone that has a good camera, screen that is large enough for content viewing, battery that lasts a day and great aesthetics – all at an affordable price point. Keeping those requirements in mind, our newest #iOne Notch Display hosts a 19:9 Notch screen that ensures more content is displayed without the edges being cut. Additionally, our newest offering also packs a powerful 2 GB RAM and Octacore processor for maximising the experience of our users.”
Talking about the earlier launched Micromax Infinity N11 and Infinity N12, the budget smartphones offer notch above the screen, dual primary cameras, and beefy batteries. The former is priced at Rs 8,999, while the latter was launched for Rs 9,999.
