Maroon 5 announced a 2020 tour Wednesday morning, including stadium shows at Fenway Park in Boston, Wrigley Field in Chicago and the American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee.
Adam Levine and the band will be at the newly redesigned venue at Maier Festival Park Aug. 30, with Meghan Trainor opening. Tickets go on sale Dec. 13 at the box office (200 N. Harbor Drive.) and through Ticketmaster. Presales begin Monday. Information on ticket prices wasn't available Wednesday morning.
It's the fourth 2020 show announced for Summerfest'snew amphitheater, currently being rebuilt for $53 million and scheduled to be completed this spring.
Ozzy Osbourne and Marilyn Manson will play the venue during Summerfest July 1. The reunited Black Crowes will be at the amphitheater Aug. 22, and KISS is bringing itsfarewell tour back to Milwaukee with an amphitheater show Sept. 15.
In October, Summerfest announced a deal with Madison-based FPC Live to be the venue's primary promoter partner outside of the festival itself. Live Nation owns a majority stake in FPC's independently run parent company Frank Productions, and is the national promoter for Maroon 5's tour.
Responsible for scores of big hits, including the recent "Memories," Maroon 5 wasone of the first bands to play the Milwaukee Bucks' new Fiserv Forum when opened in September 2018.
