Blaming Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for the self-immolation attempt by RTC driver Srinivas Reddy, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy appealed to the RTC employees not to take any extreme steps.
Addressing a series of corner meetings in Raghunathpalem mandal of Huzurnagar constituency, he said that suicide would not resolve any problem and instead it would increase the pain for the family members. He advised the RTC workers to fight for their rights and justice with bravery and patience.
He assured that the Congress party would support the RTC workers in this hour of crisis till their issues are fully resolved. He also accused KCR of adopting a highly cruel and inhuman approach.
In a separate statement, TPCC treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy held the adamant attitude of Chief Minister responsible for RTC driver Srinivas Reddy attempting suicide. So far four RTC employees died of heart attack after their illegal dismissal, he alleged.
