When it came to posing for the cover of Women's Health's Naked Strength issue, Julianne Hough had a simple request: "I did not want to do a demure coverup shoot where I'm trying to cover my body," the 31-year-old recalls.

"Demure" is probably the last word anyone would use to describe the high-flying photo shoot, in which the America's Got Talent judge gamely wrapped herself in silks to perform beautiful aerial yoga moves.

"Of course, I had a little bit of nerves," says Julianne of the acrobatics. "To get into those positions where I'm not hiding, I was fully out there."

But just a few camera clicks later, and she was totally in the groove.

"Everybody [on set] was really protecting me," she says. "And so I was like, 'Oh, okay, cool.' And I was getting into the shot covered and then they opened it up. Honestly, by the second shot, I was like, 'Guys, it's totally fine. I feel good.' I have my own energetic boundaries, so I will give off the no, and someone will feel that. And I'm okay with that."

Those good vibes followed Julianne off the set, with her embracing the Naked Strength ethos at home too.

"Now I'm walking around naked all the time, and I love it," she says. "My brother and his girlfriend and their dog and the cat had been living with us for, like, literally the entire time I've lived at my home...and they were all gone [for a] week. I've just been walking around naked, and I'm like, 'This is the greatest thing in life.'"

Ultimately, Julianne hopes that her body confidence and positive energy shine through in the images.

"Hopefully people will be like, 'Wow, she feels confident in not just her naked body, but just in who she is and that this is beautiful and that there's nothing shameful or guilt ridden or sexualized about this.'"
