Due to social distancing measures, many in our area will not be getting the full graduation experience.

However, Aquinas High School wanted to give their seniors as close to normal graduation as possible.

The Drive-Thru Graduation, designed with social distancing measures in mind, was an opportunity for family’s to experience graduation together.

Seniors signed up for specific graduation times which they would drive up and receive their diploma while teachers and family watched from a distance.

Dean of Students, Kevin Schreiner explained, “So they’ve signed up for that specific time. They drive up with their family, one car per graduate. They get out, they walk across the stage. We say a few words about them, they get their diploma and get back in the car for the next one to pull up .”

All graduates who chose attend were required to wear face masks and gloves when receiving their diploma.
