The singer, 51, posed for the magazine’s 2019 “Icons” portfolio inside the glossy’s September issue looking completely unlike her usual self in a brunette pageboy wig.
For the photos, shot by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Carine Roitfeld, the “The Power of Love” musician sported the closely-cropped new ‘do with some extreme winged eyeliner, an Alexander McQueen tuxedo jacket with a long train and cutouts at the shoulder and hemline, a sheer Agent Provocateur bra and Gianvito Rossi pumps.
In a second shot for the magazine, which is also being used as a special collector’s edition cover, the Grammy winner channels her inner Twiggy in a polka-dotted and striped Marc Jacobs dress with huge puff sleeves and a cape.
The photo series is meant to showcase the “actors, models, and musicians [who] have shifted perceptions by resisting the established, avoiding the accepted, and breaking every rule they can.”
This year, Dion appears alongside stars like Kate Moss, Shailene Woodley, Alicia Keys, Regina King, Awkwafina, Lakeith Stanfield, Christy Turlington, Alek Wek and Devon Aoki.
