Amanda Seales loves the holiday season in New York.

“I was on a train one time and this guy got on the train with a speaker amplifier. He was playing Christmas music and the first song he was playing was an instrumental, so nobody was really paying any attention,” she recently told Page Six.

“And then he played ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ and it was like the whole train turned into that scene in ‘Home Alone’ except instead of mannequins it was like everybody started like dancing and legit singing ‘Jingle bell! Jingle bell! Jingle bell rock! Jingle bell swing and jingle bell ring!’ First of all — I didn’t know that everybody knew the words to ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ but there you go. The whole train just erupted in holiday cheer.”

The “Insecure” star continued, “Those are the moments where you’re like, ‘You’re all right New York. You’re all right.”

Seales has since moved to Los Angeles and took the holiday spirit with her. The 37-year-old is known for planning trim the tree parties and once ended a relationship with someone because they didn’t want to decorate a Christmas tree with her.

As for what Seales, who just filmed a comedy special for HBO, wants for Christmas, she likes “thoughtfulness” but something from Harry Potter will also do.

“Anybody who knows me knows I’m a Harry Potter fanatic so I still love my Harry Potter wand … I have my Deathly Hallows earrings. I have a metal Harry Potter crest that hangs over my studio in my house … I collect Harry Potter books translated into other languages. So whenever any of my friends travel to another country, they’ll bring me back Harry Potter books that have been translated into the language of that country.”
