Plus there’s a whopping 2TB of storage and a 4GB AMD Radeon R7 M445 graphics card. The 15.6-inch display features Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. What’s makes this laptop even better is the 25% off on the RRP currently being offered by Dell. Head over to the manufacturer’s website and get the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop for $1,124, saving $375 on the purchase.

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus (from $862.40; usually from $1,079): Pre-orders for the latest Apple flagship has barely begun and there’s a very rare opportunity to grab an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus for 20% off the RRP. That means you can get the 64GB iPhone 8 for $862.40 and the 256GB version for $999.20. If you’re after the larger phone with the dual camera, the iPhone 8 Plus will cost you $982.40 for the 64GB model, but the higher storage version doesn’t seem to be listed on the site. Just head over to eBay and use the code PHONE8 at checkout to get that discount. But you might want to hurry, as stock could be limited and the offer ends September 25. Be aware that this is imported stock, so make sure you’re comfortable with that before making a purchase.

Microsoft Surface Book (from $1,837): Featuring a 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen display, an Intel Core i5 CPU and 8GB RAM, this laptop/tablet hybrid has a detachable screen and carries enough of an oomph factor to be premium. But grab it from JB Hi-Fi and you can save up to $629 on the Surface Book, depending on how much storage you need. If you're after a tad more power, the Surface Book with Performance Base powered by a Core i7 processor can save you up to $1,040, dependent on the storage capacity.

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Allergy vacuum cleaner ($599; usually $799): The David Jones mid-season sale is here and there’s plenty of dosh to be saved. Like on this Dyson vacuum cleaner that promises to remove allergens from your home, keeping everyone in the family healthier. The vacuum is a low maintenance beast with plenty of suction power to pick up the most stubborn dirt. It usually carries a premium price tag of $799, but the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Allergy vacuum cleaner can be yours for $599.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 5 laptop ($1,529; usually $2,099): Lenovo promises that this lightweight and slim 14-inch laptop is tough, thanks to its carbon-fibre reinforced chassis. With this chassis is housed an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and an Intel 256GB SSD. The laptop even features a Full HD display. The latest iteration of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is on sale for $1,529 at Lenovo, saving you $570 on the RRP of $2,099.
