German caught with 396 capsules among 45 charged with drug offences at Defqon. 1 festival in Sydney

Eight festival goers have been charged with supplying drugs at a dance party in Sydney's west, while another 37 people were found with drugs on them.

Police using sniffer dogs charged a total of 45 people at the Defqon.1 dance party which started on Saturday morning at Sydney International Regatta Centre.

A 22-year-old German national who allegedly had 396 capsules containing ecstasy and amphetamine has been charged with supplying a prohibited drug and breach of bail. 

Another man was allegedly caught with 200 ecstasy pills, and a woman was also found with 87 pills, all believed to be MDMA. 

Eleven people were issued with cautions over cannabis, and one man was charged with assault. 

About 24,000 people attended the festival in Sydney's west.
