A 12-year-old boy has been charged over the alleged stabbing of a 10-year-old boy in inner Sydney, during an argument which police believe was over a pair of shoes.
The 10-year-old was allegedly stabbed inside an apartment on John Street in Waterloo about 12.15pm yesterday, and managed to walk out onto the street and raise the alarm.

Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to Prince of Wales Children's Hospital in a stable condition.
He has since been released from hospital.
Three boys, two aged 12 and one aged 16, were arrested at the scene.
One of the 12-year-old boys has been charged with assault with intent to rob while armed with an offensive weapon causing wounding.
He was refused bail.
The other two boys were released without charge.
